Thomas M. "Butch" McFarland, age 60, of 3773 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee and formerly of New London, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 18, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of West Grove, Pennsylvania, he was born on July 6, 1944 to the late William H. and Virginia Ruth Boley McFarland. Thomas graduated from Avongrove High School of West Grove, Pennsylvania and was a member of New London Methodist Church of New London, Pennsylvania. Thomas is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Rose Mary Lewis and husband Richard of Mountain City, Tn; one brother and sister-in-law, James William McFarland and wife Linda of Gordonville, PA; two nieces, Kim Jordan of Mountain City, Tn and Gena Beegle of Gordonville, PA; one nephew, Alan Lewis of Mountain City, Tn; five great-nephews, Jeffrey Lewis, Brad Lewis, Gary Evans, all of Mountain City, Tn, Logan Beegle and Jace Beegle, both of Gordonville, PA and special friends, The Raymond Family of Harriman, Tn. and Clyde and Helen Campbell of Oliver Springs, Tn. Funeral Services for Thomas will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005 from the Henson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Steele to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Dee Dee Burnett. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, Tennessee. Active Pallbearers will be: Jeffrey Lewis, Brad Lewis, Gary Evans, Michael Jordan, Jason Beegle and Randy Lewis.
