Timothy William Cox

Timothy "Tim" Cox, age 47, of 1082 Albert and Maggie Lane Creston, North Carolina went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at the Watauga Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 3, 1966 in Ashe County N.C. to the late Carl Cox and Irene Eldreth Cox of Mountain City, TN. His hobbies were riding four wheelers, horseback riding, and farming and cattle. Tim was a member of Gillespie Community Church Survivors include: his wife, Lesia Cox of the home; two sons: Tyler Cox of the home, Michael Blevins and wife Reba, Mountain City, Tennessee, and his mother, Irene Eldreth Cox, Mountain City, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Hunter and Brady Blevins, one brother, Jim Cox of Creston, North Carolina and one sister, Sandy Greer and husband Gary of Mountain City, Tennessee, and a number of nieces and nephews.. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Francis, Rev. Spencer Roark and Rev. Danny Farmer officiating. Graveside service will be Monday, February 3, 2014 from the Patrick and Cox Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel. Active pallbearers are Adam Osborne, Doran Holman, John Potter, Lacey Perry, Kenneth Sturgill and Terry Woods. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Greer, Gary Greer, Richard McCoy, Doug Farmer and Walter Cox.
