Tony Ray Cress

Tony Ray Cress, age 47, of 8107 Hwy 91, Lot #9, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2010 in Johnson City Medical Center. Tony was preceded in death by his father Stanley Cress; maternal grandmother Ruth Arnold and maternal grandfather Paul Sexton; one uncle, Worley Sexton; one niece, Nancy Morefield and two cousins, Wayne Sexton and Mikie Sexton.

 

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy “Dot” Sexton Reece, of the home; three sisters: Mary Perry of Laurel Bloomery, TN; Shirley Grayson and husband Bud of Mountain City, TN; and Lisa Cress of Elizabethton, TN; three brothers: Joe Sexton and wife Mary Jane of West Palm, FL; Johnny Cress of Gatlinburg, TN; and Terry Cress of San Carlos, CA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was a friend to everyone and liked everybody.

 

A graveside service for Tony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2010 in Sunset Memorial Park of Mountain City. Reverend Ray Slemp will officiate. Active pallbearers are Stephen Greene, Ramzi Isbanioly, Lukeus Isbanioly, Terrance Dillinger and David Sexton.

 

The family will receive friends at the residence, 8107 Hwy 91, Lot #9, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee at any time.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers.
