Trula C. Dunn Lipford

Trula C. Dunn Lipford, age 64, of 875 Fall Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, Tennessee, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Johnson County, Tennessee on June 23, 1942 to the late Edyuth Dunn and Rebecca L. Dishman Dunn. In addition to her parents, Trula was preceded in death by three sisters: Leona Pennington, Mabel Barlow and Retha Dunn and one brother, Orville Dunn. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Burlington Industries and Leco Manufacturing. Trula was a charter member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Buford K. Lipford of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Dan and Tina Lipford of Mountain City, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Julia Lipford, Matthew Lipford and Dakotah Campbell; four sisters: Nell Brown, Laura Lipford and husband Dagle, all of Mountain City, Tennessee, Louise Robinson and husband Justin of Trade, Tennessee and Beulah Clampitt, twin sister and best friend, also of Mountain City, Tennessee and four brothers: Everett Dunn and wife Pearl of West Grove, Pennsylvania; Ed Dunn and wife Jan of New Castle, Delaware, Ernest Dunn and wife Evelyn of Mountain City, Tennessee and Bob Dunn, also of Mountain City, Tennessee. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog Cookie also survive. Funeral Services for Trula C. Dunn Lipford will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funera Home, with Rev. David Bentley and Rev. Bruce Simcox to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Joe Simcox. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. on Monday, prior to the services, at the funeral home. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from the Dunn Memorial Park.
