Vennie Faye Hall

Vennie Faye Hall, born November 28, 1922, age 96, left her Earthly home on Sunday August 4, 2019, to be with her wonderful Savior.  She was surrounded by her loving family. Vennie was the daughter of the late Cross and Ruth Hammons.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Hall, son Worley Hall, sister Nina Mae Hammons, brother Ray Hammons, and nephew David Hammons.

Those surviving to cherish her memory include her brother and sister-in law Boyd and Bessie Hammons, sister and brother-in-law Anna Mae and Jack Knight, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Vennie had many very special friends from Hammons Chapel Christian Church who assisted her in many ways.

Faye was a member of Mountain City Church of Christ and was faithful until her passing.  She loved the Lord dearly and was a cheerful spirit to all who knew her.  She had many friends.  She enjoyed talking on the phone with her family, friends, and those who needed encouragement.

Services for Vennie will be held at 4pm on Thursday, August 8, 2019, in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home in Mountain City, Tennessee.  Buddy Morefield will officiate the services and Mike Taylor will lead the congregational singing.  The family will receive friends from 3pm - 4pm prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Hammons Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Barton Hall, Bill Hammons, Doug Blevins, Jack Hall, Gary Reece, and Paul Sajdak.  Honorary pallbearers are the men of Mountain City Church of Christ.

In lieu of food, Faye requested nonperishable items be donated to the Mountain City Church of Christ.
