Vernon John Barnett

Vernon “John” Barnett passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at his residence in Mountain City, TN. He was born November 24, 1958 to the late Gus Barnett and Virginia Martin Barnett. He was a member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and movies. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters: Geraldine Eldreth and Margie Hicks, brothers: Reid Barnett and Earl Barnett. Those left to cherish his memory include sisters: Betty Forrester of Hickory, NC, Leona Barnett, Jackie Hall, and Shelby Ward of Mountain City and brother Ed Barnett of Mountain City. Several Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. It was his wishes to be cremated and no formal services held.
