Veronica Ann Gragg (Joan)

Ms. Veronica Ann Gragg (Joan) of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday morning, October 25, 2026.

Joan was born and raised under the shadow of Grandfather Mountain in Avery County, NC.  Although handicapped from birth, she was a very strong- willed lady.  She was very intelligent and could draw amazing charcoal portraits, loved to read and loved driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway before she became confined to a wheelchair full time.  

If you were fortunate enough to be her family or close friend, you were loved deeply.  

Joan is survived by her loving "Frisky" companion; one uncle, Mr. Claude Gragg and his wife Martha of Blowing Rock, NC and many cousins.  

She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Ms. Eula Mae Gragg. 

The day and time for a memorial service for Joan will be announced later.
