Vickey J. Snyder, age 77, of 419 Old Butler Rd. Mountain City, passed away peacefully Friday 28, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Vickey was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, beloved by everyone who knew her. Born and raised partly overseas, Vickey spent part of her childhood in Germany and Japan-experiences that fostered her lifelong love of travel. She was an active and cherished member of her community. Her involvement included regular participation at the senior center and membership at Antioch Baptist Church. Vickey’s warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The world was a better place because of her.

Vickey is preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Dorothy Herman and her beloved husband Kelly Snyder.

Vickey is survived by her daughters, Amber Foster (Tony), Rebecca Baker (Jonathan), Kelly Campbell, (Buzz). Her sister, Elizabeth Malm (Perry), brothers Steven Herman, and Matthew Herman (Amy). Vickey was a proud grandmother to Alexander Woodell (Amanda), Rachel Blum (Andrew), Robert Gwinn (Katy), Megan Hardin (Hunter), Cheyenne Tester (Anthony), Vickey also had 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Vickey at Hux and Lipford Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on December 6, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm with Reverend Mike Fenner to officiate. A graveside service will immediately follow at Arnold Cemetery.
