Ms Vickie Lynn Kondras, age 53 of 928 Avery Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Saturday morning, July 25, 2009 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Richard Main and Jean Lawton Main of Mountain City, Tennessee. Vickie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain City that she so much loved. She worked for IBM where she served as a Technical writer prior to becoming a wonderful homemaker. Vickie enjoyed many things which included Stain Glassing and Jewelry making. Vickie and her husband Peter have resided in Johnson County since 1997 and have been a wonderful addition to this community. She will be deeply missed. Along with the many projects she was involved in, one in particular was her love for Heritage Hall. She is a former House Manager to the Hall and helped in the development, operations and maintenance of this beautiful facility she so dearly loved.

 

Vickie is survived by a wonderful family that includes her husband of 34 years Peter Kondras of the home; one sister: Pamela Jean Howlett of Deerfield Beach, FL; one brother: Bradley Main and wife Cindy of Endwell, NY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Mary Ann Kondras, of Mountain City, TN; seven nieces: Jennifer Petralia and husband Paul of West Milford, NJ, Michele Kondras and companion Dee Mankowski of Mountain City, TN, Erika Perri and husband Dominic, Jennifer Howlett and Valerie Howlett all of Deerfield Beach, FL, Nikki Chisholm and Heather Main both of Binghamton, NY; two nephews: Teddy Howlett of Pompano Beach, FL and Brian Main of Lexington, KY. Her Aunt Patricia and Uncle Ronald Lawton of Mountain City, TN  and a cousin by marriage, Carol Anderson, of Peachtree City, GA also survive. She always had a love for animals and leaves behind 4 precious dogs and 3 loving cats.

Vickie had so many close friends and, just too many to name them all who were just like family to her. The love she always had for her church family and her Pastor and his wife Larry and Susan Rye was very special. She loved and was loved by everyone she knew.  

 

A Memorial Service for Ms Kondras will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church, Mountain City, TN  with Rev. Larry Rye officiating and eulogies may be delivered. Following the Memorial Service a meal will be provided for the family by the United Methodist Women's Association. The family will have a private viewing and departing time to spend with Vickie on Monday, July, 27, 2009 in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home of Mountain City, Tennessee.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions In Memory of Vickie are asked to be made to the First United Methodist Church, 128 North Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683
