Walter "Tommy" Adams Jr

We are saddened to announce the passing of Walter “Tommy” Adams Jr., age 71, on October 19, 2024. He was born February 28, 1953 to the late Walter Adams Sr and Carmela Staiti Adams.

Tommy was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of Rainbow Mennonite Church and enjoyed playing pool, racing, dirt track and was an avid musician. He also retired from the United States Postal Service.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Theresa Adams; daughter, Clarissa Jean Wilson, of Mountain City; son, Miles Wilson of Mountain City; sister, Jeannie Hammett of Mountain City, Catherine Guadagino, and Bernie Angus, Grandchildren; Nehemiah Willis, Isaiah Willis, Mason Wilson, Jaylyn Wilson, Madison Wilson, Frankie Wilson, Anna Wilson, Bailey Wilson, Niece; Gracie Hammett, and special friends, Wayne Wyatt and Kay Wyatt.

Funeral service for Tommy will be conducted Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 2 pm in the Rainbow Mennonite Church with Gary Gambill and John Hammett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm – 2 pm prior to the service. Graveside service will follow in The Sunset Memorial Park with military honors accorded by The Johnson County Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Josh Lowe, Nikolas Bigwood, Chase Muncy, Houston Barlow, Nick Hammons, Nehemiah Willis and Isaiah Willis.
