Waltraut Trudy Casey

Waltraut "Trudy" Casey, age 74, of 397 Harbin Road, Mountain City, TN, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy battle of serious illness. She was a native of Wittenbrge Germany and was preceded in death by two granddaughters. Mrs. Casey was a devoted mother and wife and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Ed Casey, of the home; two daughters, Brenda Lynn Thomas of Mountain City and Peggy Sue Longas of Gray, TN; two sons: Danny Casey of Annapolis, MD and Ronnie Edwin Casey of Gray, TN. A sister, Inge Kieper of Hamburg, Germany and a brother, Hans Hafmann of Clarksburg, TN: Eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p. m. Saturday, February 26, 2005 from the chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Lewis and Rev. Shannon Courtner to officiate. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2005 from the Reece Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p. m. Saturday prior to the services and at other times friends may call at the residence, 397 Harbin Road, Mountain City, TN at anytime. Henson Funeral Home is serving the Casey family.
