Everett Wayne Lunceford, age 45, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center. Wayne was born October 2, 1970 to Linda Proffitt Hopkins and the late Buford Lunceford. Wayne was preceded in death by his “Pa”, Earl Dugger, his father, Buford Lunceford, and a special uncle, Jack Proffitt. Wayne left behind his wife of 15 years, Rebecca “Robin” Lunceford. His “baby girl” Amanda and his son Andrew, both he loved with all his heart and soul. Andrew’s girlfriend, Holly Winebarger. Amanda’s boyfriend, Cody Pierce. His mother and step-father, Allen and Linda Hopkins. Two step-brothers, Tony and Tim Hopkins, and one step-sister, Patty Seagal. His very special Aunt Norman Eldrell. Cousin Kelvin Potter. Very special cousin and good friend, Jeff “Cuz” West. Special niece and nephew, Ala Hopkins and Anthony Hopkins. Wayne was a member of Elk Mills Christian Church. Wayne was a logger, welder, and farmer. He loved fishing and hunting and being outdoors. He loved his family and friends. And he will be missed by all that knew him. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Dry Hill Cemetery with Rev. Terry Dugger speaking. Pallbearers will be: Jeff West, James Ward, Andrew Campbell, Dale Brown, Dave Greene,Odell Stanton, Joey Bright, and Kevin Potter. Honorary pallbearers are: Dave Bailey, Richard Humphrey, Joe Lewis, and Anthony Hopkins. He will lie in state at his residence from Monday morning, December 7th until Tuesday morning, December 8th.
