Welze J. Farmer

July 20, 1943 — March 15, 2009

Welze J. Farmer, age 65, of 5190 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at his residence. He was the son of the late Clarence Farmer and Lela Williams Farmer. Mr. Farmer was retired from the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Farmer.

Survivors include: one daughter, Gloria Farmer Hackler, of Mountain City, TN; two sisters: Beulah Head of Mountain City, TN and Jewell Miller of Claremont, NC; one brother: Earl Farmer and wife Phyllis of Mountain City, TN; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Hackler and several nieces and nephews and a special friend - his former wife, Judy Lewis, Mountain City, TN.

Funeral Service for Welze J. Farmer will be conducted on Thursday evening, March 19, 2009 at 8 p.m. in the Charles B. Hux memorial chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with E.J. Perry officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Military graveside services will be conducted on Friday March 20, 2009 from the Sunset Memorial Park at 11 a.m. accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be E.J. Perry, Earl Farmer, and family and friends.
