Obituary for Darrell Lewis Darrell Lewis age 74 of 1850 Roundabout Road, Creston, N.C. Passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at his residence. He was born January 6, 1949 to the late Fred Lewis and Opal Burns Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Jones Lewis and two brothers. Darrell was a US Navy Veteran having served during Vietnam, he was a Forrest Ranger with the National Park Service for many years . He loved fishing. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Wesley Lewis of the home, Step-son, Alex Roark Rock Creek, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The Service for Darrell will be held on Tuesday January 2, 2024 at 7 pm in the Buford Lipford Chapel with Tommy Stevens and Junior Seats officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 pm prior to the service. Military Honors will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Hux & Lipford Funeral Home to help with the service.
