William Clarence Bowers

William "Clarence" Bowers, age 63, of 2136 Crossroads Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away November 19, 2003 at his residence following a brief illness. A native of Laurel Springs, North Carolina, he was born September 20, 1940 to the late Clifton and Lessie Osborne Bowers. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents. He was a former Barber and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and horseback riding. Clarence is survived by one daughter; Sandra Bowers of Lansing, North Carolina, one sister; Carol Bowers Pruitt of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, several nieces and nephews and special friends; Hal Miller and Joy Hamm both of Warrensville, North Carolina and Lessie Hamm of Lansing, North Carolina. Private Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2003 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Derick Wilson to officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laurel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
