William Roark

Bill F. Roark, age 84, of 650 Hampton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, TN and formally of Mountain City, Tn passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. He was born November 6, 1932 in Johnson County, TN to the late McKinley Roark and Elsie Vanover Roark. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Brown Roark and two sons, Mark Roark and Roger Wayne Roark, and two brothers, Earnest Roark and Roy Roark. Bill was a former employee of the Mountain City Glove Plant and at the present time attended Sugar Hollow Freewill Baptist Church and formally attended Rainbow Baptist Church. He loved fishing and just being outdoors in general.
Survivors include two sons: Willie Roark and wife Melissa of the home. Dana MacArthur Roark and wife
Shannon of Peoria, Illinois.
Two sisters, Susie Reece of Mountain City and Margie Paterson of Nashville, TN.
Ten grandchildren: Steven Roark and wife Debbie, Jessica Dickerson, Destiny Roark, Faith Roark, Lewis Roark, Jennifer Roark, Dana Roark Jr., Willie A. Roark and Allison Roark.
Great grandchildren: Gregory Jones, Jennifer and husband Jody, Bjorn Anderson, Scarlet Roark. Jacob, Maggie, Brianna.
Great-Great Grand children Joseph, Joshua and Jessica. Special friends Stella Rose Tester and
members of the Johnson County Senior Center.Funeral services for Mr. Bill Roark will be conducted on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from the Charles B. Hux Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 am prior to the funeral service. Reverend Marvin Sheets and Reverend James Hill to officiate. Pallbearers will be friends. Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Regional Cancer Center of Johnson City, Tn. Graveside service and burial will follow from the Dunn Memorial Park in Forge Creek.
