Wilma Slemp Reece

Wilma Slemp Reece, age 66, of 2207 Pleasant Valley Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Sunday March 27, 2005 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Johnson County and was born February 19, 1939 to the late Dane and Daris Crowe Slemp and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bobby Thomas. She was a former employee of Burlington Industries and was a member of the Liberty Christian Church. Survivors include one daughter: Carolyn Weaver and husband Randy of Johnson City, TN; one son: Wayne Thomas of Mountain City: one sister: Dorothy Williams of Mountain City: two grandchildren: Carly and Mark : several nieces and nephews: special friend, Clarence Fenner and a host of other friends also survive. Funeral services will be held 2: 00 p. m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005 from the Henson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jim Hutchinson and Rev. Frank Woods to officiate. Burial will follow in the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Earl Davis, Wayne Davis, Wayne Ward, Hal Ward, Keith Williams, Tony Ward, Larry Barry and Kenny Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Williams. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p. m.
