Yae Pao Yang

Yae Pao Yang, 62 of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on March 2nd, 1963, in Laos, Yae was the son of the late Lao Va Yang and Pa Vang. Yae loved to travel, go fishing and hunting, as well as spending time with family. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Mao Thao Yang, his children- May, Kou, Maria, Susan, Sherry, Christine, James and grandchildren- Hero, Kai, Connor, Tenchi, Kirin, Sasuke, Jules, Emmanuel, Cyrus and Elijah.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 8 pm with Pastor Samuel Her officiating.

A service will be held on Sunday, January 11th, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Yae will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Mountain City, Tennessee on Sunday, January 11th, 2026.
